WELCOME to KINDERGARTEN!

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2nd will be the beginning of the Full Day Kindergarten program at Holy Redeemer School.

All Senior Kindergarten students will begin school on the first day and Junior Kindergarten students will have a brief orientation visit  and then begin school the following day. (Letters have already been sent to JK parents.) All students will be in school by Thursday. 

There  are three JK-SK blended groups. Each group will include a full time Early Childhood Educator (ECE), a French teacher, and English teacher. Two of the groups will also include an Educational Assistant.
SCHOOL PREPARATION:
Students will require 2 small, healthy snacks and a healthy lunch.

Please send the following items to school on the first day:
- indoor school shoes (velcro or slip-on) to be kept at school (Please inform your child)
- extra set of clothes in a large ziploc bag

(Please include: pants, socks, shirt, underwear)

- Activity fee: $30- cheque made out to "Holy Redeemer School"

- There will be a "Quiet Time" scheduled into the daily program so that everybody will have an opportunity to rejuvenate their energy levels.  To facilitate this calming time, each child will require a mat to rest comfortably on the floor of the classroom. 
***  Please make sure to have a mat at school for your child's first full day.   ***

We are suggesting a yoga mat, or something similar labeled with your child's name. We also suggest a comfy blanket to help your child relax after a stimulating morning. [FYI: "Quiet time" is not necessarily meant for sleeping but sometimes this does occur.]
